Izvestia will offer users to test their knowledge of the inventions of the Nizhny Novgorod Archimedes, Ivan Petrovich Kulibin.

Izvestia International Exhibition Center presented an unusual interactive special project "Kulibin" dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Russian inventor. Users will be able to get acquainted with the legacy of the master in a game format.

The game is an exciting quest where the user needs to find famous inventions of Kulibin in the allotted time, without confusing them with the inventions of masters of other countries and eras. The task is not as simple as it might seem, because Ivan Kulibin and other inventors who became the heroes of this project were significantly ahead of their time.

"Ivan Kulibin was distinguished by an unconventional view of familiar things. This is exactly what we wanted to convey in our project, so we chose an interactive format with an emphasis on action, search and discovery of new things. After all, Ivan Petrovich himself has been creating new things all his life, breaking stereotypes," the authors of the project said.

Ivan Petrovich Kulibin (1735-1818) was an outstanding Russian inventor from Nizhny Novgorod, an engineer, and a member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. The Russian Archimedes became famous for numerous inventions, many of which were not appreciated by his contemporaries, but were recognized by his descendants. The inventor's surname has become a household name, and it is customary in Russia to call talented self-taught engineers and craftsmen who have achieved success in their craft.
