More than 40 Palestinians died in a day as a result of strikes on Gaza

As a result of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip on April 18, 45 people were killed. This was reported by Al-Jazeera channel, citing medical sources in the enclave.

"At least 45 people were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza today," the newspaper said.

In particular, as Al-Jazeera explains, heavy blows fell on the north and south.

It is specified that since the beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, at least 51 thousand people have died and 100 thousand have been injured.

Earlier, on April 16, the enclave's Ministry of Health reported that 25 people were killed and 89 others injured as a result of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip during the day.

In addition, on the same day, Israel announced that it could expand military operations in the Gaza Strip if the Palestinian Hamas movement continued to abandon the hostage agreement. According to Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Israeli troops will maintain their presence in the so-called security zones in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Syria indefinitely.

On April 17, the leader of the Hamas movement, Khalil al-Haya, said that the organization was ready to negotiate a cease-fire and the release of hostages. According to him, a truce can begin in exchange for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
