Kuklachev's son considered Ukraine's new sanctions a manifestation of Kiev's fear
The new sanctions imposed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky against a number of Russians, including People's Artist of the RSFSR, trainer Yuri Kuklachev, speak to the fear of enemies of their activities. On April 18, Dmitry, the artist's son, told Izvestia.
"This is very good news. <...> This suggests that what Yuri Dmitrievich [Kuklachev] and I are doing scares our enemies very much, because we are conducting a real cultural special operation. <...> They are afraid of us, and if they are afraid of us, then victory is near," he concluded.
Actress Irina Apeksimova, who was also subject to Ukrainian sanctions, expressed pride in being on this list in a conversation with Izvestia.
Zelensky's imposition of sanctions against a number of Russian cultural and sports figures became known on the same day. The list includes ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze, author and performer SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov), Apeksimova, fencer Sofia Velikaya, actor Vitaly Gogunsky, actor Nikita Dzhigurda, singer Nikolai Rastorguev and other figures.
It is specified that the term of restrictions is 10 years.
