- The Houthis reported an increase in the number of victims as a result of US strikes in Yemen to 74

At least 74 people were killed as a result of US military strikes on the Ras Isa oil port in Yemen's Hodeidah province, and more than 170 others were injured. This was announced on April 18 by the Ministry of Health in the government of the Ansar Allah movement.
"According to the Houthis, who control the territory, at least 74 people were killed as a result of US airstrikes on the Yemeni oil port of Ras Isa. This is one of the deadliest attacks by American troops on the country," Al Jazeera TV channel quoted the agency as saying.
Anis Alasbahi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health of the militant group, said 171 people were also injured in Thursday's strikes.
The destruction of the Houthi-controlled Ras Isa seaport by the American army was reported the day before, on April 17. The Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) reported that the port was used for the maritime supply of oil, which the Houthi movement used "as a tool of control and to obtain economic benefits from the appropriation of profits from imports."
On April 9, Anadolu Agency reported the deaths of more than 100 civilians since the beginning of the US attacks on Yemen. It was clarified that at least 223 people were injured. On March 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered the military to begin operations against the Houthis. Soon, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces announced the launch of a large-scale operation in Yemen.
