Investigators in Tomsk have been instructed to open a criminal case after media reports about an attack by stray dogs on a man with a child at a kindergarten. The order was given on April 18 by the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin.
The Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tomsk Region indicated on its website that a crime check had been organized under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").
"The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation instructed the head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tomsk region, A.V. Shchukin, to initiate a criminal case and submit a report," the Telegram channel of the main department clarifies.
Also on April 18, the SU IC of Russia in the Kurgan region opened a criminal case after a pack of dogs attacked a child. It is specified that the incident occurred on April 15 in the village of Vostochny. A group of dogs attacked an underage girl returning home from school. As a result of the attack, the victim received wounds.
