Ukraine has imposed sanctions against Russian cultural and sports figures


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on a number of Russian cultural and sports figures. The relevant decree was posted on April 18 on the website of the office of the head of state.
The list includes ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze, author and performer SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov), actress Irina Apeksimova, fencer Sofia Velikaya, actor Vitaly Gogunsky, singer Nikita Dzhigurda, Nikolai Rastorguev, singer Alexander Rosenbaum, rock musician Igor Sukachev, film director Egor Konchalovsky, circus performer Yuri Kuklachev, actor Oscar Kucher, boxer Denis Lebedev, actor Evgeny Mironov, gymnast Nikita Nagorny, actor Alexander Pankratov-Cherny, ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, boxer Ruslan Provodnikov and actor Roman Chumakov.
Nikolai Rastorguev, the lead singer of the Lube group, commented on the new sanctions from Ukraine in an interview with Izvestia.
"Nothing new, I've been under all possible conditions for a long time," he said.
The limitation period is 10 years. The sanctions include the blocking of assets on the territory of Ukraine, the cancellation of licenses, a ban on the transfer of intellectual property, the termination of trade agreements, as well as the deprivation of all Ukrainian state awards.
Earlier, on April 11, it was reported that Zelensky had imposed sanctions against 18 legal entities and 130 individuals, including Russian journalists. The number also included war correspondents from Izvestia and Rossiya 1 TV channel, TV presenters from Channel One, NTV, Zvezda, producer Yuri Bardash, who received Russian citizenship, and political scientist Vadim Karasev.
