- On April 18, Rosmolodezh and Ecosystem launched a large-scale campaign "We are for cleanliness"

On April 18, Rosmolodezh, together with the Ecosystem movement, launched a large-scale campaign "We are for cleanliness." As part of the campaign, more than 3,000 clean-up days will be held in all regions of Russia from April 18 to 27. The action is timed to coincide with the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. More than 150 volunteers, including participants of the Victory Volunteers Movement, the Movement of the First, the Ecosystem movement, volunteers from the Moscow region, corporate volunteers from the Rosatom State Corporation, military personnel of the Central Military District and representatives of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland launched a week of clean-up at the Rubezh Slava memorial complex in the Moscow region.
"On the eve of Victory Day, we are launching the All-Russian week of clean-up "We are for cleanliness". More than 30,000 Russians will join 485 clean-up days across Russia. During the campaign, we plan to unite more than 500 thousand Russians.: together we will improve memorials, memorial sites, clean squares and cities — as a sign of gratitude to the older generations and responsibility for our land, for our history. Today, together with the volunteers, we also planted the lilac alley of the Garden of Memory campaign. By the end of the year, we plan to plant 27 million of these trees in memory of every fallen Soviet soldier during the Great Patriotic War. Preserving the tradition of joint work underlines the power of unity and respect for your city, your country, and our planet, because true patriotism is not in big words, but in concrete deeds," said Grigory Gurov, head of Rosmolodezh.
After the clean-up day, participants of the "We are for Cleanliness" campaign in the Bullfinches of the Moscow Region, together with the Victory Volunteers, laid flowers at the Frontier of Glory memorial and honored the victims with a minute of silence.
As part of the event, an alley of lilacs was also planted in Bullfinches in support of the International Ecological and Patriotic Campaign "Garden of Memory". Every year, green monuments are planted in all regions of Russia, as well as abroad. Over the 5 years of the campaign, millions of volunteers from 78 countries have joined the planting of memorial gardens. They have planted over 130 million trees.
Activists of the Movement of the First also joined the All-Russian week of clean-up days "We are for Purity" as part of the volunteer direction of the Yunnatskaya Strana project. Today, participants in the movement from the Orel region have put in order the territory of the monument to the Blahnik L-13 glider, installed in the village of Zalegoshch in honor of the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. Children and teachers from the Tambov region were landscaping the territories next to the monument to the Pichai soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.
