The President of Kazakhstan met with the head of Yandex Global

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the head of Yandex Global Daniil Shuleyko. This is reported on the website of the head of the republic.

The main topic of the conversation was the plans of Yandex Qazaqstan and its key areas of activity. Special attention was paid to initiatives in the field of platform employment and the development of artificial intelligence technologies.

Daniil Shuleyko positively assessed the results of the pilot project on platform employment, which was launched in Kazakhstan in 2023. According to him, the project has allowed more than 65,000 Yandex Taxi partner drivers to receive social protection. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in turn, noted the importance of Yandex Qazaqstan's contribution to digital transformation and support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as to improving the quality of life of citizens.

The head of Yandex Global spoke about the company's plans to launch pilot innovation projects in Astana and confirmed the company's participation in the AI-Sana program. It is aimed at unlocking the potential of artificial intelligence technologies in the national economy, supporting technological entrepreneurship and training qualified personnel.

Yandex Qazaqstan is already developing search, urban, cloud, and entertainment services in Kazakhstan, as well as educational and social projects. The company's total investments in the economy of Kazakhstan since 2016 have exceeded 225 billion tenge.
