Rostechnadzor, together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), monitored the operational condition of the turbine department equipment of two power units at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was announced on April 18 by the press service of the nuclear power plant.
"Rostechnadzor has monitored the operational condition of the turbine department equipment of power unit No. 3, 4 at the NPP...> No safety—related deficiencies have been identified," the ZAES Telegram channel wrote.
It is specified that the radiation background on the site and in the observation area is normal and does not exceed natural values.
On April 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) carried out three strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles on the satellite city of the Zaporizhia NPP Energodar in the Zaporizhia region. According to the mayor, one of the drones was shot down by military police officers, the second drone was suppressed by an electronic warfare system, and the third exploded in the treetops. A vehicle was damaged as a result of the attack.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on February 13 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were terrorizing the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant. According to her, the Russian side is doing everything possible to ensure safety at the station.
