Russian pensioners in Abkhazia will be given bank cards

The PSB organized the issuance of debit cards to pensioners with Russian citizenship residing in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia. The cards are needed to transfer pension and social benefits from the Social Fund of Russia (SFR), the bank's press service explained.
"Now you do not need to cross the border and travel to Russia to complete the necessary documents, and payments and transfers to loved ones can be made without commission in the bank's mobile application," said Mikhail Dorofeev, Deputy Chairman of the PSB.
More than 20 thousand retired citizens of the Russian Federation live in Abkhazia. Issuing PSB cards will allow them to receive pensions and payments in a timely manner, make money transfers and pay for purchases.
Registration of PSB cards is available in 12 branches of the joint-stock commercial Savings Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia. To receive it, you must present a Russian passport or a Russian passport.
The PSB debit pension card issued in Abkhazia does not differ from the cards received in Russia. Pensioners will not need to submit an application for transferring a pension to a PSB card to the Social Fund of Russia — the bank will do this on its own.
