The number of victims of the fire at the Central Market in Genichesk, Kherson region, has increased to eight, seven of whom are in a state of mild severity. Elena Borchaninova, Minister of Health of the Kherson region, informed about this on April 18.

"Eight victims, seven of them in a state of mild severity, one in a moderate degree," she said in an interview with TASS.

It is specified that the cause of the fire could be a short circuit in one of the kiosks. More than 20 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and more than 10 pieces of equipment were sent to the scene.
