Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region, together with the central office of the FSB, stopped the channel of illegal export of military products. This was announced on April 18 in the press service of the department.

The cargo was planned to be transported through a transport company to one of the Central Asian countries. The sender did not have any export permits.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 3 of Article 30 and paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted smuggling of military products). He has been charged, investigative actions and operational measures are being carried out.

Earlier, on April 17, FSB officers stopped an attempt to smuggle radio-electronic scrap containing precious metals from Russia in the amount of at least 9.9 million rubles. According to the FSB, in March, a Russian citizen with a residence permit in Lithuania was detained in the Smolensk region while attempting to illegally export precious metals in the form of scrap and waste outside Russia.
