Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed substantive messages to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei through Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. This was announced on April 18 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Of course, the minister conveyed the best wishes, as well as substantive messages from the president to the supreme leader of Iran," the presidential spokesman said at a briefing.
