Raiffeisen denied information about the suspension of the sale of business in Russia

The Austrian group Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has denied a report about the suspension of the sale of business in Russia. This was reported to Izvestia on April 18 in the press service of the Austrian group.

The day before, the Financial Times newspaper, citing sources, reported that the RBI had suspended the sale of units in Russia.

"The information is not true. The sale process continues," the press service said.

On February 19, RBI informed Izvestia that the company would not change its plans to reduce business in Russia. They explained that Raiffeisen Bank International had accepted a request from the ECB to significantly reduce its business in Russia until 2026.
