A pack of dogs attacked a child in Kurgan, a criminal case was opened. This was announced on April 18 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

It is specified that the incident occurred on April 15 in the village of Vostochny. A group of dogs attacked an underage girl returning home from school. As a result of the attack, the victim was found to have wounds.

"On behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the investigative department for the city of Kurgan of the regional investigative department has opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence")," the agency's channel says.

According to investigators, the incident occurred due to improper performance of duties by officials of the Kurgan administration in the field of trapping stray animals and ensuring the safety of citizens.

On April 16, Perm police began checking after reports of an attack by two fighting dogs on a man outside a city enterprise. It is specified that the owner of the animals came to the enterprise for an interview. During his absence, he tied the pets to the fence without muzzles. However, two dogs were able to break free from the leash and attacked a passerby with barking, clinging to the man. The victim suffered severe hand injuries and was hospitalized. The security guard of the enterprise died on the spot from a heart attack after what he saw.
