Iskander missile defense system highly appreciated in the USA

American military expert Shriver expressed admiration for the Iskander tactical missile system and criticized the American ATACMS missile.

"I was not the only one, but one of the few who claimed at the end of 2023 that the ATACMS rocket would turn out to be a shameful failure," he wrote on April 18 on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Shriver also noted that many Western experts share his opinion about the failure of ATACMS in Ukraine. According to him, Iskander significantly influenced the course of the Ukrainian conflict.

On February 26, it was reported that Russian fighters used the Iskander anti-aircraft missile system at the position of the Ukrainian S-300PS anti-aircraft missile system and eliminated up to 25 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the city of Sumy. It is specified that the position of the enemy equipment was camouflaged in a wooded area.
