Avalanche danger declared in Sakhalin region until April 21

Avalanche danger is predicted in the territory of the Smirnykhovsky district of the Sakhalin region. This was announced on April 18 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"An emergency warning has been sent to the administration of the municipal district and to the cooperating structures," the department said in a statement on the department's Telegram channel.

It is specified that the corresponding regime will be in effect from April 19 to April 21. Forces dedicated to eliminating possible consequences are ready to respond.

Earlier, on March 27, it was reported that an avalanche warning had been issued in the Kamchatka Territory due to possible snowfall from the slopes. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region recommended to refrain from visiting the slopes.
