In the United States, a school bus overturned in South Carolina, killing one person and injuring 21. This was reported on April 17 by the Fox News channel with reference to the rescue services.

"At least one person was killed and several others were injured after a school bus returning from an excursion in a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina, burst a tire and overturned on a highway in South Carolina on Thursday," the publication says.

It is specified that 17 victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance or helicopter. Five of them are in critical condition.

Due to the accident, it is expected that traffic on the site will be blocked for a long time, the publication added.

There were 38 people on the bus, 35 of whom were minors.

An investigation is currently underway into the incident.

Earlier, on March 19, it was reported that four buses with military personnel were involved in an accident in the French capital region, 36 people were injured.
