The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the work of T-72 tank crews in the Yuzhnodonets direction.

The crews of T-72 tanks are supporting the offensive of the Russian Army assault units in the Yuzhnodonets direction of the special military operation zone. This was announced on April 18 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The crews of T-72 tanks of the 5th Guards tank Brigade of the Vostok group of forces continue to carry out combat missions during the offensive of assault units, destroying positions and firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Yuzhnodonets direction," the department said.

During combat missions, tankers fire both direct fire and from cover. Shooting from closed positions can be carried out at a distance of up to 10 km from the target. When hitting targets at a great distance, the crews are assisted by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

On April 17, the crew of the Mi-28NM helicopter hit the temporary deployment point of the AFU UAV crew. Before departure, the crew received the coordinates of the location of the temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian UAV crew in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces. It is specified that after the successful completion of the combat mission, the Mi-28NM crew returned to their home airfield.
