In Ukraine, the court arrested 51 sites with lithium deposits

In Ukraine, the Pechersk District Court of Kiev has seized the sites of the Polokhov lithium deposit. NV reported this on April 17.
"The arrest was carried out as part of the proceedings, which have been under investigation since 2016. At that time, the prosecutor's office opened a case on the fact of allegedly illegally obtaining a permit for lithium mining. Nine years later, they decided to resume the investigation, despite the fact that the company paid UAH 119 million to the state budget for a special permit," the publication clarifies.
A total of 51 police stations were arrested by court order. Their owner was entrepreneur Sergey Tabalov, director of Ukrlitiydobycha LLC.
As a result, the only project in the country with a valid special permit was stopped.
On March 31, Alexander Konkov, associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, in an interview with Izvestia, pointed out the negative consequences for Kiev due to the fossil deal. He also noted that any decision would entail unfavorable results for the current Ukrainian leadership.
