Representatives of the Turkish oil and gas company Botaş (Botash) held a high-level meeting with the leadership of the Russian energy corporation Gazprom in St. Petersburg. This was reported on the Botaş website on April 17.

"At the meeting, the importance of the strategic relationship between the two companies, which has lasted for almost 40 years, was emphasized, and topical issues of cooperation were also discussed. In this context, assessments were given of specific steps that need to be taken to achieve short— and long-term goals based on mutual benefit of the parties," the statement said.

The Turkish company was represented at the talks by Chairman of the Management Board and CEO Abdulvahit Fidan, Deputy CEO Mithat Aydin and Deputy Head of the Natural Gas Procurement and Export Department Mehtap Bolat. Gazprom was represented by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Dmitry Khandoga, CEO of Gazprom Export LLC, and other company officials."

On February 10, Gazprom announced two personnel changes in its management. Alexander Shagov has been appointed head of Department 715. He has been working at Gazprom since 2010. His previous position was Deputy Head of Department 715 — Head of the Department. In addition, Anton Mukhin, who has been working at Gazprom since 2002, was appointed deputy head of the board staff and head of Department 127.
