Trump was informed about the shooting at a university in Florida.

US President Donald Trump was informed about the shooting at the University of Florida. This was announced by CNN on April 17.
"I have been informed of an active shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee. I think he's an active shooter, fully aware of where we are right now. Hurtful. It's terrible, terrible that such things happen, and we'll talk about it later," the newspaper quoted the president as saying.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said the administration was "actively monitoring the situation," CNN reported.
In total, at least six people were injured in the shooting at the University of Florida, one is in critical condition.
Earlier it was reported that the university's notification system sent a signal warning of emergency situations after it became known about an armed man who appeared near the campus. Police officers and employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrived at the scene.
