Anti-aging cosmetics can be used from the age of 30-35, but the constant intake of drugs and biologically active additives (dietary supplements) can lead to some age-related changes. Inna Ilyina, associate professor of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases with a cosmetology course at ROSBIOTECH University, expressed this opinion on Thursday, April 17.

"Pigmented spots may appear at this time, and later seborrheic keratosis. The formulas of anti-aging cosmetics are designed for its use from about 30-35 years of age. The cause of pigmentation may be not only age—related changes, but also the constant intake of certain drugs or dietary supplements," Ilina said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The specialist noted that it is best to discuss the selection of funds with a dermatovenerologist or a cosmetologist, she added.

According to Ilyina, the consumption of products containing carotenoids can lead to increased pigmentation of the skin. Thus, an abundance of carotenoids is found in olive, castor, sea buckthorn, linseed oil, baobab oil and wheat sprouts.
