A case of negligence was opened on the fact of a schoolboy's attack on a teacher in the Moscow region.

In Lyubertsy, a criminal case was opened against school staff after a teenager attacked a teacher with a hammer. On April 17, the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region was informed about this.

"An investigator of the territorial investigation department of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region has opened a criminal case into possible negligent actions of persons from among the staff of an educational institution, as a result of which a teacher was injured (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.

According to preliminary data, a 13-year-old teenager suddenly attacked a teacher during a lesson this afternoon. He struck the teacher with a hammer in the head area. A school employee was hospitalized.

Investigators and criminologists are conducting a check. It is specified that because of the incident, the teenager will be placed on preventive registration, since he has not yet reached the age of majority.

On April 8, it was reported that a schoolboy attacked a student in Novy Urengoy. He also stabbed a security guard. After the attack, a criminal case was opened in accordance with art. 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence") and art. 238 of the Criminal Code ("Performing services that do not meet safety requirements").
