Almost 40 units of new heavy medical equipment have started working in hospitals in the Moscow region.

Since the beginning of 2025, 38 units of new heavy medical equipment have been put into operation in hospitals in the Moscow region, of which exactly half are X—ray machines. The regional Ministry of Health announced this on Thursday, April 17.

"Since the beginning of the year, 38 units of heavy medical equipment have already been put into operation. For example, MRI, CT, fluorographs, mammographs, and X-ray machines have started operating in regional hospitals," said Maxim Zabelin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of the Moscow Region.

According to him, a new X-ray machine was launched in Podolsk hospital on Thursday. The cost of the equipment was about 29 million rubles. In total, 19 new X-ray machines have been introduced in medical institutions in the region this year, according to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.

In November 2024, it was reported that 59 outdated X-ray machines had been replaced in medical institutions in the Moscow Region last year. The work was carried out within the framework of the national project "Healthcare".
