Yuri Varakin, head of the Roshydromet Situation Center, told what kind of weather is expected in Moscow in the coming days.

In an interview with Radio 1 on April 16, the specialist noted that before Easter, inclusive, the air temperature in the capital and the region will be almost June.

"Temperatures will go through the roof everywhere, if by April standards," Varakin explained.

After April 17, when an atmospheric front with light precipitation is expected to arrive, the temperature in the Moscow region will reach +22 degrees, and somewhere around +25, and drop to +12 degrees at night.

On April 17, meteorologist Tatiana Pozdnyakova said that the peak heat in the capital will be on April 19. It is expected that night temperatures in the region will reach +8...+13 degrees by the weekend, and on Saturday the air in the metropolitan region will warm up to +24 degrees, which is 8 degrees higher than the climatic norm at the end of May, RT reports. Then the Turkish anticyclone, which brought warmth to Muscovites, will be replaced by a cold cyclone. Starting from April 22, it will begin to fall from the level of +22...23 degrees to +12...13 degrees, according to NSN.

On the same day, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia warned that abnormally hot weather was forecast in Moscow from April 18 to 22. The ministry called on residents of the capital to wear clothes made of natural fabrics and hats, drink more water and, if possible, stay in the shade.

On April 16, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told the Moscow City News Agency that over the coming weekend on April 19 and 20, the air in the capital will warm up to June values — the thermometer will reach +24 degrees, but a cold snap is expected from April 21. Precipitation is possible in the city until the end of the week.

On the same day, the first temperature record of April was broken in Moscow. The air warmed up to +21.2 degrees in summer. The previous maximum has been held for more than a century, since 1920, when exactly +21 degrees was recorded, the website reports kp.ru . Over the weekend, two more records are likely for these April dates for all 146 years of meteorological observations in the capital.
