UAZ has improved the rear-view camera of the Patriot and Pickup Truck

Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has announced the modernization of the rear-view camera of the Patriot and Pickup models. The new device complements the improved UAZ Navi multimedia system, the company's press service reported on its Telegram channel on April 17.

UAZ said that the new camera has a light sensitivity of 0.01 lux, which improves image quality in low-light conditions. Previously, this indicator was 0.5 lux.

The image resolution has increased from 648×488 to 720×640 pixels, making the image more detailed. Another improvement is the expanded viewing angle to 135°, which allows for better control of the space behind the car. The improvements did not affect the cost of the Patriot and the Pickup Truck with the Limited package, the company noted.

On April 14, it was reported that, as Nikolai Sobolev, CEO of the Sollers Group, stated, by the end of 2025, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant plans to present updated UAZ Patriot and Pickup with Russian units: diesel engine, gearbox and transfer case.

Prior to that, on March 27, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant would soon begin equipping cars of the new and old UAZ model ranges with engines of an improved design. The improved ZMZ 409th family engines will receive the Patriot, Pickup, Pro and Loaf models.
