A Voronezh resident who locked her three-year-old daughter in an apartment was arrested

A court has arrested a Voronezh resident who locked her three-year-old daughter in an apartment without food or water and left for several days. This was reported on April 17 in the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Voronezh Region.

"The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention until June 14, 2025 in respect of a 20-year-old resident of Voronezh," the agency's website says.

The Telegram channel of the regional Investigative Committee notes that the investigator charged the girl under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with the attempted murder of her young daughter.

The day before, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on the detention of the defendant. According to the investigation, the girl left the apartment for a long time, leaving her three-year-old daughter unattended. Three days later, the girl was able to open the window and call for help from passers-by, who called the police.
