On April 17, Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the warm welcome and expressed hope for his speedy visit to Qatar.

"Thank you very much, Mr. President, on behalf of myself and the members of the Qatari delegation for the warm welcome and hospitality. We really hope to see you in Qatar soon," he said.
