A man who was storing weapons and a large shipment of drugs was detained in the DPR


Employees of the Directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) detained a man who kept weapons and a large batch of drugs in Khartsyzsk. This was reported on April 18 in the press service of the department.
"As a result of the operational search activities of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic, a resident of Khartsyzsk, involved in the illegal trafficking of weapons and drugs, was detained," the report said.
It is specified that during the search of the garage, law enforcement officers found and seized firearms, ammunition, explosive devices and more than 5 kg of prohibited substances.
The investigative unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 222 ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of weapons, main parts of firearms, ammunition"), part 1 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying explosives or explosive devices") and Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances").
Earlier, on April 14, it was reported that FSB officers had stopped the activities of a criminal group that was involved in organizing a drug supply channel in the DPR. The attackers were engaged in the supply of drugs to the republic, packaging and distribution of narcotic drugs through bookmarks. The suspects were coordinated from Ukrainian territory.
