Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova beat Mirra Andreeva at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Stuttgart. The match took place on Thursday, April 17th.
The meeting lasted 1 hour and 6 minutes and ended with a score of 6:3. 6:2 in favor of Alexandrova, reports Sport-Express. Thus, the tennis player reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament.
During the game, Andreeva made four aces, made two double faults and made two break points out of three. The winner of the match, in turn, made eight straight serves, two double faults and five converted break points out of 11.
In the quarterfinals, Alexandrova will play against the winner of the match between Polish tennis player Magdalena Freh and Jessica Pegula from the USA.
The day before, Russian tennis player Erica Andreeva withdrew from the match against her younger sister Mirra in the second set of the first round match of the WTA tour. It was clarified that at the beginning of the game, Andreeva Sr. sought medical help due to problems with her right knee.
