Finnish President Alexander Stubb does not fully understand the situation in Ukraine and continues to pander to the Kiev regime. Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from the Crimean region and a member of the security committee, told Izvestia on April 17.

The day before, Stubb posted a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter), in which he wrote that Ukraine had allegedly agreed to a complete cease-fire. He also noted that "Russia should do the same."

"Apparently, the President of Finland does not have complete information about the situation that is taking place on the territory of Ukraine and the situation on the ground," he said.

Sheremet called it sad that the President of Finland does not understand and does not realize that, by indulging Nazi criminals, he creates the prerequisites for fascism to continue to flourish in the world.

"The President of Finland should realize that the Russian side is doing a lot for a ceasefire, for dialogue, but in fact the Ukrainian side is absolutely unable to be responsible for its agreements, which it signs. They only declare them and lie to absolutely everyone — both their friends and their enemies," the deputy stressed.

Sheremet noted that the new White House administration clearly sees this strategy of Ukraine. According to him, the United States realized that it was useless to have any dialogues with the Kiev regime and look for some compromise solutions.

On April 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to extend martial law and mobilization in the country from May 9 for 90 days.

On February 12, the Ukrainian president said that after the start of the ceasefire with Russia, martial law in the country could end. Then he noted that without guarantees of security for Kiev from Western countries, a cease-fire is impossible.
