Fradkov appointed Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reappointed Mikhail Fradkov as director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS). The relevant decree was published on April 17 on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

"To appoint Mikhail Yefimovich Fradkov as director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies federal State budgetary institution starting from May 13, 2025," the document says.

It is specified that Fradkov was appointed director of RISI for a period of five years.

Earlier that day, Putin appointed Dmitry Mezentsev as the presidential envoy to the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. Prior to his appointment, Mezentsev served as State Secretary of the Union State.
