A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that units of the Center group of forces liberated the Preobrazhenka settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic, units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades, and units of the Southern group of Forces improved the tactical situation.

Five JDAM guided aerial bombs and three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, as well as 204 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, were also destroyed by air defense systems.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged the infrastructure of a military airfield, an enterprise for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, a warehouse of unmanned boats, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 143 districts," the Russian Defense Ministry said..

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 52,293 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,876 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,536 multiple rocket launchers, 23,741 field artillery and mortars, and 34,203 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
