The Kiev regime continues to defiantly ignore the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure, and Russia is again recording violations of the agreement. This was announced on April 17 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"The Kiev regime continues to defiantly ignore the 30-day moratorium on strikes on energy facilities agreed upon on March 18 by the leaders of Russia and the United States and supported by [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky," she said.

Zakharova clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) carry out attacks on energy facilities in Russian regions every day. She recalled that since the agreement, the Kiev regime has attacked the Russian energy infrastructure more than 80 times.

Earlier in the day, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, said that after the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure ends, Russia will have a free hand, so a response to the attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is possible. He noted that Russia fulfilled the conditions, while Zelensky did not pay any attention to the agreement.

The day before, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin was not yet ready to comment on Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to extend the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure facilities between Russia and Ukraine.
