- In France, Callas was accused of blackmail after the words about the Victory Day parade in Moscow

The threats of the head of the European Diplomacy, Kai Kallas, regarding the intention of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9 are blackmail. This was announced on April 16 by the leader of the "Stand up, France" party, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan.
"The European Union is turning more and more into a tyranny every day," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The politician expressed dissatisfaction with Callas' behavior and wondered who gave her the right to tell heads of state what they were allowed to celebrate and what not.
In addition, Dupont-Aignan congratulated Robert Fico on his decision to visit Moscow on May 9, despite the threats of the head of the European diplomacy.
On April 14, Callas warned European officials that if they visited Russia to participate in Victory celebrations, they would face "consequences." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, called her statement harsh and incorrect. He noted that such threats should be assessed by the States to which they are addressed.
Fico said on April 16, Callas has no right to threaten European officials with "consequences" for visiting Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. He stressed that it is necessary to show respect for the fact that historically the greatest contribution to the defeat of Nazi Germany was made by the peoples of the Soviet Union.
