The Kremlin called the new regions an integral part of Russia

The Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, are an integral part of the Russian Federation. This was announced on April 17 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"These regions are an integral part of the Russian Federation. Therefore, it is impossible to put the question this way," Peskov said at a briefing, answering a question about whether the transfer of four regions under Russian control is a condition for completing a special military operation.
