On April 17, the opposition left the meeting room of the Moldovan parliament before a speech by President Maia Sandu.
It is specified that the deputies from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) left the hall. Representatives of the opposition have repeatedly criticized the course of the head of state towards integration into the European Union (EU).
In addition, those who disagree with Sandu's course accused the authorities of pressure.
Earlier, on April 15, the National Assembly (Parliament) Gagauzia of Moldova was informed about the external management of the autonomy from Chisinau. In addition, the parliament accused the Constitutional Court of Moldova of losing its legitimacy.
On March 25, the head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, was detained at the Chisinau airport. Her name was found on the list of persons who are prohibited from leaving the country. Later, on March 28, the head of Gagauzia was arrested for 20 days.
On April 9, the court ordered the Hutsuls to be placed under house arrest.
