The first batch of Easter cakes was consecrated in Simferopol. More than 150 tons of products will be made for the holiday at the Simferopol bakery.

According to Archpriest Basil, who conducted the rite of consecration, Easter, which will fall on the table of Orthodox Christians, including Orthodox soldiers, should cheer up their spirits and emphasize the festive mood of the Lord's Easter.

The craftsmen prepare 10 types of cakes, including a novelty treat with cranberries. More than 200 specialists are working on baking, says IA SevastopolMedia.

Earlier, on April 16, Maria Preobrazhenskaya, Palmira Art pastry chef, told Izvestia how to choose the right Easter cake and curd for the festive table. According to the expert, when buying a cake, you need to pay attention to the appearance. It should be smooth, not crumpled, not deformed. The cake should not show any breaks or cracks, and it should not crumble. This is important because improper transportation and storage of the cake can lead to loss of presentation and quality of the product.
