Rosselkhoznadzor told about a new development against hogweed

Rosselkhoznadzor is working on the creation of a biopesticide based on natural mushrooms to combat borscht Sosnovsky. This was announced on April 17 by the head of the department, Sergey Dankvert.
According to him, Sosnovsky hogweed poses a serious threat to the ecosystem due to its high survival rate.
"Our institute is currently developing a biopesticide based on natural fungi, which are very difficult to suppress," Dankvert said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.
He added that it is planned to defeat hogweed with the help of a new development this year.
In March last year, Associate Professor of the Department of General Biology and Bioecology at the State University of Education Tatyana Alekseeva told Izvestia about the dangers of hogweed. According to her, this plant causes severe skin irritation, including burns. This is due to the content of substances belonging to the group of furocoumarins in the leaves, stems, and fruits of hogweed.
