The Oting brand will expand the range of car models available on the Russian market. This is stated in the company's message received by Izvestia on April 17. In the fourth quarter of this year, two new pickup trucks will appear in our country, which are currently undergoing certification, and next year a full—size Oting SUV based on the new generation Nissan Patrol platform will enter the market.

The updated Oting RICH 7 pickup truck will be offered with a two-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 228 horsepower or with a 166-horsepower turbodiesel of the same volume. Both engines are combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic. Modifications with both rear and all-wheel drive will be presented.

At the end of the year, the Oting Z9 hybrid pickup truck, equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (147 hp) and an electric motor with 212 horsepower, will appear in the brand's dealerships. The maximum range of this car is 1.1 thousand kilometers.

In 2026, the Oting full-size SUV based on the new generation Nissan Patrol platform will enter the Russian market. The production of this car will be set up at the Zhengzhou Nissan plant. The model will take its place in the segment of large-size SUVs and will become the only Japanese SUV in this class officially introduced in Russia.

"Pickups are becoming more and more in demand in Russia. Thus, this segment grew by 65% in 2024. We understand that for many Russians it is important to have a car that can handle off—road and cargo transportation, as well as be comfortable in daily operation," said Ji Ziyuan, head of the Sinomach Auto branch in Russia.

Yesterday it became known that 5,276 new pickups were sold in Russia in the first quarter of 2025, which is 9% less than in the same period last year. At the same time, the pickup segment looks more confident against the background of the entire new car market, which declined by 25% in the first three months.
