- More than 50 thousand residents of the Kherson region were left without electricity after the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike

As a result of the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Kherson region, over 50 thousand local residents were left without electricity. This was announced on April 17 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.
According to him, in the Alyoshkinsky district, Ukrainian militants struck an electrical substation again, which provoked an emergency power outage.
"56 thousand residents of 108 settlements of Alyoshkinsky, Holopristan and Skadovsky districts were left without electricity. Repairs are underway," the governor wrote on the Telegram channel.
He added that during the day, one civilian was killed in Alyoshki, and another person was injured. Also in Novaya Kakhovka, an APU drone dropped ammunition into a parking lot in the courtyard of a multi-storey building. As a result, an explosion occurred, which caused damage to two cars.
According to Saldo, Ukrainian militants also attacked the Bare Pier, Dneprany, Cossack Camps, Korsunka, Malokakhovka and Staraya Zburyevka.
The day before, Saldo reported that six rescuers received shrapnel wounds after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Sivashskaya WPP substation in the Chaplinsky municipal district of the Kherson region. According to him, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, born in 1981, 1997, 2004, 1986, 1978 and 2000, suffered.
