Putin appointed Dmitry Mezentsev as envoy to the Constitutional Court


Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Dmitry Mezentsev as the presidential envoy to the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. The relevant decree was published on April 17 on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
Prior to his appointment, Mezentsev served as State Secretary of the Union State and previously represented Russia in various international structures.
It is specified that the decree comes into force from the date of its signing.
The Federation Council at its plenary session on April 16 approved the candidacy of Alexander Konovalov for the post of judge of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. Konovalov previously served as the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Constitutional Court.
