An explosion in the western United States destroyed the building of a rocket engine factory

An explosion occurred in the western United States, which destroyed the building of the Northrop Grumman military industrial concern. This was announced on April 17 by Air & Space Forces Magazine.

"On April 16, an explosion destroyed a building at the Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems plant in Promontory, Utah, where the company manufactures solid—fuel rocket engines for government and commercial customers," the material says.

It is specified that the explosion occurred at 07:35 local time (16:35 Moscow time). According to the magazine, Northrop reported no serious injuries to employees who were working in and around the building at the time of the incident.

The local KSL News Utah TV channel posted a video on YouTube taken from a helicopter over the scene. The published footage shows the scale of the destruction caused by the explosion. There was no fire at the factory.

On March 25, an explosion occurred at an ammunition depot of the Policske strojirny company near the town of Borgina in the east of the Czech Republic. According to Idnes, one person was injured. According to the Czech police, the explosion could be related to a defect in the manufacture of ammunition.
