- The Russian Interior Ministry has stopped the production of counterfeit household chemicals in the Tula region

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia have stopped the production of counterfeit household chemicals in the Tula region. This was announced on April 17 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
"The illegal business was stopped by my colleagues from the GUEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia together with operatives from the Tula region. They detained the members of the criminal group," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the production of counterfeit products was organized in a village within Tula. Volk clarified that seven people worked at the underground enterprise, who "by eye" mixed counterfeit cleaning and washing liquids, and subsequently poured them into containers and glued labels of well-known brands. It is noted that the finished goods were sold to cleaning services, as well as small private stores.
With the support of the Russian Guard, police officers conducted searches and seized production equipment, computers, labels, documentation, as well as 1.3 thousand units of products. The police also found 10 thousand containers with a glass-washing liquid based on poisonous methyl alcohol with a volume of 5 liters.
Previously, damage to trademarks may amount to about 1 million rubles. A criminal case has been opened on this fact under art. 180 ("Illegal use of means of individualization of goods") and art. 234 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal trafficking of potent or poisonous substances for the purpose of sale"). The defendants were banned from certain actions.
On February 4, in Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai, the police seized more than 100 thousand packs of counterfeit cigarettes from circulation. It was clarified that the total cost of counterfeit products exceeded 14 million rubles. A 59-year-old local resident was identified as the suspect. According to law enforcement officials, he purchased, stored and sold tobacco products without excise stamps. A criminal case was opened against him under Part 6 of Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, acquisition, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products without labeling and (or) applying information provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on an especially large scale").
