- The psychologist spoke about the changes in the approach to nutrition over the past 10 years

The kitchen routine has changed over the past 10 years along with the increasing number of cases and the complexity of human life. Vlada Belyavskaya, a psychologist and expert of the ready-to-eat ration service, told Gazeta about this on Thursday, April 17.Ru».
According to the expert, significant changes occurred during the pandemic, when the demand for delivery increased sharply. What used to be a routine—shopping, menu planning, and cooking—has become perceived as a tedious process that takes too much time and effort. In this regard, the traditions of cooking together and sharing recipes are gradually becoming a thing of the past, the psychologist noted.
As Belyavskaya pointed out, the rejection of daily cooking is due to a natural reaction to the acceleration of the pace of life and an increase in the number of tasks. Life in a megalopolis is a continuous flow of information, decisions, and responsibilities. Unlike the older generation, young people are constantly facing changes: moving, learning new professions, adapting to technology, the expert listed. All this depletes the resource of the will — the ability to make decisions and cope with the load, explained the interlocutor of the publication.
In addition, the specialist noticed that the distribution of household chores has changed: cooking has ceased to be an exclusively feminine concern. Women are increasingly career-oriented, and in many families, daily cooking has given way to delivery, convenience foods, and ready meals.
The psychologist also stressed that a thoughtful approach to nutrition helps to reduce the burden on the psyche. Questions like "What should I cook today?" create additional stress for a tired brain. Advance planning, the use of blanks, subscribing to ready-made rations or purchasing food in advance free up time for recreation, hobbies and communication with loved ones, Belyavskaya said.
"If a person gives himself the opportunity to eat a full meal, takes a lunch break and gets distracted from business, it helps to be more productive, avoid burnout and restore a balance between personal and professional," the expert concluded.
Earlier, on April 9, nutritionist and nutritionist Roman Pristansky told us what factors affect body weight and how to reduce volume. He stressed that nutrition and exercise play an important role in shaping the figure. The latter can be three or four times a week for at least an hour and a half. Nevertheless, the kitchen is at the heart of "body building".
