The inspection of the Bodost bath complex in Moscow by law enforcement agencies was planned and aimed at maintaining public order. This was announced on April 16 by representatives of the Foreign Ministry.
"On April 10, Russian law enforcement agencies conducted a routine inspection of public premises, the Bodost bath complex and others located in the Timiryazevsky district of Moscow, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order in the capital," the Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti.
During the inspection, it turned out that almost half of the foreigners who were in the premises of the complex entered the territory of Russia illegally.
"Of the 59 foreign citizens brought to law enforcement agencies for trial, 25 were in the Russian Federation in violation of the provisions of Russian migration legislation. They are held accountable according to the law," the ministry stressed.
On April 10, Moscow law enforcement agencies identified 25 illegal migrants during an inspection of a bathing complex. 18.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation by a foreign citizen of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay in the Russian Federation"). In total, 59 foreigners were taken to the internal affairs departments as a result of the operation.
On April 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the possible connection of foreigners detained in Moscow with radicals.
