- International students file lawsuits in US courts over Trump's revocation of their visas

International students are filing numerous lawsuits in US courts to prevent their deportation by immigration authorities after the administration of US President Donald Trump began to revoke their right to stay in the country. This was announced on Wednesday, April 16, according to the Reuters news agency.
"Just on Tuesday, judges in Massachusetts, Montana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Washington (DC) issued emergency orders prohibiting immigration authorities from acting against students," the material says.
Recently, more than 600 foreign students, teachers and researchers at US universities have lost their visas, CNN reported, citing lawsuits and legal statements.
Earlier in the day, the Canadian Association of University Professors (CAUT) advised scientists to refrain from making optional trips to the United States. Special caution was advised to those scientists whose countries of origin are in confrontation with the United States, who have expressed a negative opinion about the administration's policy, whose research may be considered contrary to the position of the current US administration and whose travel documents indicate a gender other than the gender assigned to them at birth.
