Guards Junior Sergeant Egor Smolyaninov was carrying out a combat mission to establish communications between command posts in a difficult sector of the front when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began shelling Russian positions, damaging an antenna device and a repeater. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Thursday, April 17, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen committed in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

Smolyaninov understood the need to restore radio communications as soon as possible, so he moved to the site of the damage, despite the ongoing shelling from enemy artillery and the attacks of FPV drones. The repair work was carried out successfully, and the connection was restored.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the bold and decisive actions of Guard Sergeant Maxim Suleymanov, who, as part of the logistics support group, performed the tasks of delivering ammunition to the positions of Russian troops.

On the way, the convoy, which also contains Suleymanov's car, was attacked by Ukrainian mortar launchers and FPV drones. The guard sergeant got his bearings in time and led the car away from the impact, starting to maneuver. He managed to get the transport out of the firing zone and successfully deliver a load of ammunition to the front line.

Earlier, on April 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Junior Sergeant Pavel Tymchuk commanded the calculation of a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) combat vehicle and received the coordinates of the concentration of equipment and reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were going to attack Russian positions.
