Five people were injured in a fire in Novocherkassk.


A 76-year-old woman and four small children were injured in a fire in a residential apartment in Novocherkassk on Sevastopolskaya Street. This was announced on April 16 in the press service of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Rostov region.
"The fire broke out in the children's room. The woman managed to take three grandchildren outside, including a ten-month-old girl. However, a boy born in 2023 remained in the apartment," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the emergency services staff took the child out of their burning apartment, and also extinguished the fire on 15 square meters. m. It is specified that all the victims were hospitalized in a medical facility with poisoning due to gorenje products. The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that 20 employees and five pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
At the moment, the causes of the fire are being investigated.
Earlier that day, 336 people were evacuated from a kindergarten in the Samara region as a result of a fire among reeds and dry vegetation in the Volzhsky district. It is noted that the evacuation from the institution was carried out due to heavy smoke.
